I'll be jetting off soon to England! soooo excited!

This weekend just been doing normal things went to a chicken fair and my family entered one of their chicken and it got 4th place! Its a beaut chicken, ill upload photos later!

not really been up to much else, bit boring to be honest!

A Taste Of Champagne

Went to a champagne vineyard in the mountains and it was great!!
had a guided tour of the whole place, the lab, the offices, the vineyard, the packaging, all of it!
It was very interesting to find out how they made the champagne and how much actually goes into it? i never knew for example the freezing of the bottle neck to get rid of all the rubbish! Interesting stuff...
Also the walls are used to store the champagne with the tanks about 80 thousand litres of champagne and they have about 20 tanks, thats a lot of champagne

Then after somehow got invited to the owners house to drink Cava and have a meal in their house.. it was a very old classic farm house, in the fields surrounded by more vineyards..
Met the owners and the owners parents, who are 88 years old and still working in the fields picking the grapes and olives..

We sat down at the table and had Cava, had some meat, bread and special olive oil, it was so pure..

Was a very good day and the experience is probably one i wont repeat again due to the limited opportunities.

The factory works for 40 days 24 hours a day making the wine as its important as soon as its picked to be turned into champagne! They make 125 thousand bottles of champagne an hour! for 40 days!

Girona River

Just arrived home from a very good day in Girona, its a beautiful city and somewhere i'd very much like to visit again!
The journey time is about 1 hour 30 mins - 2 hours and we decided to drive to Tossa De Mar in the Costa Brava the night before and stay there because its only about 20 minutes away and is much easier as a whole... So that is what we did, we arrived rather late and had something to eat and a lot of wine! Watched a little bit of television and quickly went to sleep as i was soooo tired. The next day we were supposed to get up early and make the trip to Girona but instead i slept in til 11am and by then it was to late to go before lunch so we went close by for a walk along the beach and the weather was pleasent but not hot..





After the walk we had an early lunch around half 12, then made the journey to Girona. It was very nice and as i said somewhere i really want to go again and experience more of the city because theirs only so much you can look at in a few hours. We had a hot chocolate, a little browse of the christmas market and the many small shops where i bought a few goodies :)

Yesterday Was Day 7300

Today i wake up 7301 days old... Yesterday 04/12/11 it was my 20th birthday
I went to Set Cases for the weekend in the mountains.
I got woken up very early by the family, they had presents for me, sweets, socks, t shirts and then the big news that we would be going skiing. I was very excited and then they presented a birthday cake to me and a card and it was very nice. Felt very natural to be around them on such a landmark age!

So then i went to Vallter 2000 for the day to ski for the very first time...
It was a brilliant experience.The views were stunning and i couldnt believe it at times that i was actually there living this experience, it was very serial. I got fitted up in some boots, ski's and poles and i was ready, i already had the trousers and thermal tops from home. We applied cream to our faces and went out into the hot sun, i couldnt believe how hot it was ? its soo strange,.. i still dont understand how the snow can be so fluffy and light, that the snow can fall from the sky... and that it can be baking hot??

Anyway i had a great day!!!
